2023 UK Tour Dates
This Autumn, Richard Chappell Dance is thrilled to present a range of performances celebrating the companies 10th anniversary.
Our full length production Infinite Ways Home will tour the UK for a final time to Taliesin Arts Centre, Edge Hill University and Venue MK. Infinite Ways Home is a multisensory production that explores ritual, rave and human connection. Performed by Chappell’s extraordinary ensemble of dancers, Infinite Ways Home features electronic music by award-winning experimental duo Larch alongside live violin by the critically acclaimed soloist Enyuan Khong. Combining Chappell’s diverse choreographic language of ballet, contemporary dance and improvisation, Infinite Ways Home looks to redefine our sense of community and home, in a mesmerising feast of colour and pulsating sound.
Choreographer Richard Chappell returns to his home town of Paignton in Filament's Open Season to revisit a work created at the outset of his choreographic career. Vast Rocks Revisited draws themes and inspiration from Dartmoor and Torbay's coastline, their vast timelessness and how families experience them over generations. Company dancers will perform alongside young dancers in training and older community dancers, at indoor and outdoor locations in central Paignton.
Returning to the companies roots in Devon on small scale stages at Barnfield Theatre and Ashburton Arts Centre, Home Revisited showcases some of very best young choreographers and performers from across the South West, alongside excerpts of Infinite Ways Home and Vast Rocks Revisited.
