RCD's Engagement Work
Since being established, RCD has nurtured the creative potential of many young dancers, professionals and local communities throughout the UK and abroad via independent workshops, residencies and community engagement programs. Through these sessions, RCD's engagement team give participants an insight into the company's creative methods and ideology, alongside and inclusive, playful and challenging approach to contemporary dance.
As part of RCD's engagement program, Richard has created two intergenerational works in partnership with Dance in Devon for a community cast of dancers aged 14-94. His involvement and regular creations with Dance City and Swindon Dance CAT Schemes has shaped his unique and enriching offer for young people and his experiences with ROC Creative and Wheelfever have given him five years of knowledge of how to work inclusively within dance.
Richard is an experienced guest lecturer at BA level, teaching for organisations such as Rambert School, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Trinity Laban, ArtEz Institute of the Arts (Holland), School of the Arts Singapore and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore).
